Southwold Beach Huts are very famous and just a bit special. They are all privately owned and strictly controlled - they are not allowed to have electricity or running water.

The best ones are on the main part of the promenade directly below the town centre. This is where our beach hut is located. It is just down from the Lord Nelson pub and quite near to the beach Kiosk. The Kiosk sells all sorts of things from beach essentials (like buckets and spades and windbreaks) to ice creams, tea, coffee, home made cakes and even hot snacks.

is equipped with:

• a two ring gas burner with a grill. We supply all the Calor gas
• plenty of crockery, cutlery and glasses
• ample beach chairs and tables
• an area for changing
• a water carrier. As mentioned there is no running water in any of the beach huts but there are several standpipes all along the promenade so we provide a water carrier for bringing your water back.

Don't look for luxury in a Southwold Beach Hut but do expect the best beach holiday ever! The views are wonderful, the beach starts just across the promenade and with the simplicity comes a kind of pleasure rarely found in our modern world.
