Poplar Hall is a 16th century thatched house set in 1½ acres of lovely garden surrounded by countryside, yet is only 2½ miles from the sea and 3½ miles from Southwold. A charming, tranquil place to enjoy the countryside, birdwatching, cycling and eating well!

We offer both bed and breakfast in the main house, and beautifully appointed self-catering accommodation in the grounds.

We are easy to find from the A12, and supply full directions when booking or on request.

Self Catering

Both accommodations are well equipped, and have their own private gardens and patio area. Pets are welcome.

Poplar Hall Loft House, the loft and part of the stables have been tastefully converted to make very spacious holiday accommodation sleeping 4 to 6.

Poplar Hall Cottage is adjacent to the main house, the cottage is ideal for a peaceful and comfortable stay. Sleeping two, the delightful bedroom with double bed has lovely views over fields and woods.

Bed and Breakfast

Beautifully furnished, beams and inglenooks, lots of character, with owners' travel collections everywhere. Guests' library and sitting room with views of the gardens and countryside.

One en suite double bedroom, and one double bedroom and one single bedroom with private bathroom. All rooms have TV, tea/coffee facilities and heating.

Breakfasts are sumptuous, with homemade preserves and local produce from kippers and haddock to the famous Adnams sausages and bacon. Vegetarians are also well catered for.
