Cinema @ The Cut - THE CHILDREN ACT (12A)

Venue: The Cut Arts Centre, Halesworth IP19 8BY link
Director Richard Eyre, 2017, UK, 106 mins. With Emma Thompson, Fionn Whitehead, Stanley Tucci, Ben Chaplin. A great performance from Emma Thompson as a high court judge wrestling with the responsibility of deciding whether a teenager should be given life saving treatment. For religious reasons his parents reject medical interference and the boy himself is on their side. It's an elegant, sophisticated drama based on the novel by Ian McEwan who also wrote the screen play.
