RSPB Minsmere Dawn chorus and Breakfast

It’s an early start but definitely worth it! Join our guides as you take a walk around the reserve to enjoy the bird chorus as the sun starts to rise. Booming bitterns, the delights of Cetti’s warblers and the melodic nightingales are just a few sounds to enjoy. OPEN DAY AT STEAMWORKS

The SteamWorks site in Blyth Road lies adjacent to the 1879 Southwold Railway trackbed and close to the site of Southwold Station. Just ten minutes' walk from the town centre, it is where The Southwold Railway Trust volunteers are working on locomotives and rolling stock, with the aim of re-creating the experience of travelling on the 3-foot gauge Southwold Railway (operated 1879-1929).
Come and see how this site is being transformed, the 3-foot gauge steam engine Scaldwell, the Blyth Valley Light Railway (a 7.25 inch railway), and learn more of what the Trust is achieving. Refreshments available. Shop. All Welcome.

Tour of Southwold Lighthouse

Southwold Lighthouse provides a waymark for vessels navigating the east coast and guides vessels making for Southwold Harbour. On selected dates tours of Southwold Lighthouse are organised by Southwold Millennium Foundation under licence from the Corporation of Trinity House, take approximately 30 minutes, and are on the hour and half hour. To climb the tower there is a minimum height restriction of 1.1 metres tall.
Ticket Details: Adult £4, Child 16 years and under £3, Family of 2 adults + up to 3 children £12. CASH ONLY PLEASE.

EPP Film Evening - The Old Man and the Gun (12A)

AN EVENING WITH JIM CAUSLEY

Six times BBC Radio 2 Folk Award nominee. BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards ‘Singer of the Year’ 2017. More than simply a folk-singer, multi award-winning singer-songwriter and musician Jim Causley is an all-round entertainer and his ‘Evening with’ concerts give a full night of beautiful singing, moving ballads, hilarious ditties and everything inbetween. Drawing equally from traditional repertoire, modern songs as well as his own compositions and settings of poems by his relative, the celebrated Cornish poet Charles Causley. All accompanied on piano and various accordions and served with a gurt dollop of Westcountry humour.
