Forest Bathing at RSPB Minsmere

Event lasts approx 2.5 hours. Join us for a spectacular journey, as we enable you to unwind from daily stress, relax, and connect back to nature all over again, guided through a series of gentle exercises designed to restore you both mentally and physically. Forest Bathing + is the practice of bathing all of the senses whilst taking in the forest atmosphere; a unique experience and a beautiful way to immerse yourself in the therapeutic powers of the woodland. Learn about the latest medical research in to the health and well-being benefits of spending time under the canopy of trees.

Surprising Summer Wildlife at RSPB Minsmere

OPEN DAY AT STEAMWORKS

– 16:30 on Saturday, 13th July 2019

Venue: STEAMWORKS, Blyth Road, Southwold IP18 6AZ link
The SteamWorks site in Blyth Road lies adjacent to the 1879 Southwold Railway trackbed and close to the site of Southwold Station. Just ten minutes' walk from the town centre, it is where The Southwold Railway Trust volunteers are working on locomotives and rolling stock, with the aim of re-creating the experience of travelling on the 3-foot gauge Southwold Railway (operated 1879-1929).
Come and see how this site is being transformed, the 3-foot gauge steam engine Scaldwell, the Blyth Valley Light Railway (a 7.25 inch railway), and learn more of what the Trust is achieving. Refreshments available. Shop. All Welcome.

Tour of Southwold Lighthouse

Southwold Lighthouse provides a waymark for vessels navigating the east coast and guides vessels making for Southwold Harbour. On selected dates tours of Southwold Lighthouse are organised by Southwold Millennium Foundation under licence from the Corporation of Trinity House, take approximately 30 minutes, and are on the hour and half hour. To climb the tower there is a minimum height restriction of 1.1 metres tall.
Ticket Details: Adult £4, Child 16 years and under £3, Family of 2 adults + up to 3 children £12. CASH ONLY PLEASE.
