Discover Minsmere in miniature as our guides introduce you to some of the smaller creatures that call Minsmere home. We’ll look for butterflies, dragonflies, bees and many more. Will you spot our lions, wolves or tigers? PLEASE NOTE : event may be cancelled if wet weather.

Come along and find some of the most fantastic and ferocious beasts that live beneath the surface – will you be lucky enough to find mighty dragonfly nymphs, water scorpions or the magnificent great silver diving beetles? Expert volunteers will help show you what to do and identify what you find. All equipment provided. 30-minute sessions. Must be booked in advance. All children must be accompanied.

Join our enthusiastic volunteers on a fun family stroll in search of Minsmere’s exciting wildlife for a perfect family-focussed introduction to Minsmere. No previous experience needed. Don’t forget to bring your binoculars or ask at reception about loaning a pair for the day. We recommend suitable outdoor clothing.

Model yacht sailing has been taking place in Southwold for over 100 years. A tremendously fun and absorbing activity which is very easy to get the hang of. People of all ages and abilities can join in. Anyone is welcome to come and have a go – we can even lend you a boat for the day and show you what to do.
This afternoon an informal pick-up regatta to round off the season.

A cash-only event. Doors open 5:30pm for 6pm 'eyes down' start. Cash prizes to be won. Refreshments available include pizza, cakes and drinks.

This strikingly visual and intense film, which draws from 1890s photography, 1930s French cinema and symbolist art, defies easy categorization, drawing from a range of styles - equal parts horror film, psychological thriller, and character study.
