Friends of Southwold Library : FABRICS

Raising funds for Southwold Library on 26th, 27th and 28th May. Fabrics plus craft and art book stall, general book stall, teas, coffee and cakes. All welcome.

Tours of Southwold Lighthouse

Venue: Southwold Lighthouse, Stradbroke Road, Southwold IP18 6LW link
Built in 1887 and standing 31 metres high Southwold Lighthouse is one of only ten lighthouses which Trinity House open to the public. Tours take place on selected dates March to October inclusive and are organised under licence by Southwold Millennium Foundation. Note that there is a MINIMUM HEIGHT restriction of 1.1 metres tall to climb the tower. Last tour commences 30 minutes before closing time. CLOSED FOR LUNCH 1pm-2pm.
Enquire in advance for tour bookings by schools, special interest groups and group bookings of ten or more people.
Ticket Details: Adult £4, child £3 (minimum height 1.1 metres). Family Ticket for 2 adults and up to 3 children £12

Walberswick Church Tower Open

Party at the Old Southwold and District Hospital

Party organised by Save Our Southwold Association in celebration of Southwold hospital (Field Stile Road, IP18 6LD) being bought back by the community as a Community Asset. Festivities begin with tea and cake and carrying on until 11pm, featuring a hog roast, plant stall, auction, music and dancing. Renovations at the site will begin later in 2018 so this is the last time that the doors of the hospital as we know it will be open to the public.
