Bird Ringing at RSPB Minsmere

Waveney Bird Club’s ringing demonstrations are not to be missed. They offer unique and rare opportunities to experience close encounters with the Minsmere birds – you never know what you might see! Join us to discover more about the lives of the Minsmere birds, what migration adventures they have and the important work the club do every year. These are drop-in events, with no need to book. Ringing is weather dependent so the event may be cancelled or shortened if wet or windy.

General Interest Tour of Holy Trinity Church, Blythburgh

Holy Trinity, Blythburgh is offering a new service. But this one doesn’t involve hymns, prayers or a sermon! Thanks to local resident Colin Huggins, we’re able to provide a free, general interest tour of the church every Thursday at 11am. There’s no need to book, you simply turn up in the church porch. Children are welcome, but they must be accompanied by an adult throughout the tour.

Science Café : THE PROTEIN REVOLUTION

Our speaker will be travelling from Holland especially, to talk to us about Algae as production organisms. They capture carbon and can provide an alternative to meat protein, therefore are potentially ecologically beneficial on several levels. “Algae” seeing you there, Hallowe'en costumes are optional!
The Cut Science Café provides an informal, friendly environment in which to discuss the latest ideas in science and technology, whilst enjoying a drink and delicious food from our licensed café, which will be open from 6pm. Talks start at 7pm in the theatre. The evening ends at 9pm. Pre-booking is highly recommended.
