An Evening of Magical Opera

– 21:00 on Saturday, 19th June 2021
Venue: Thorington Theatre, off A12 south of Blythburgh, IP17 3RB link
Presented by Orlando Jopling, on behalf of Studio Music and featuring Jenny Stafford, Martha Jones, Richard Dowling and Alistair Ollerenshaw. The orchestra is comprised of some of the most eminent chamber musicians in the country.
This promises to be an enchanting evening of beautiful music, with some of the greatest hits of opera sung by exceptional young professional singers who would normally be on the stage at the world’s great opera houses. Arias, duets and ensembles from a range of operas by Handel, Mozart, Puccini, Verdi and more, with a few surprises thrown in, informally staged by film director Ben Morris especially for the woodland theatre, with each scene introduced by the singers to bring you in to the story of each opera.

Please don your finest, come early to enjoy a glass of English sparkling wine, and bring a picnic to enjoy during the 45 minute interval! It is utterly wonderful to have live opera back enriching our lives again; we’re in for a real treat!
Ticket Details: Standard ticket £20. https://www.thoringtontheatre.co.uk/events/an-evening-of-magical-opera-june-19
