Come and see the remarkable progress made at this site entirely by volunteers. Free entry and light refreshments. Visit the restored 1879 narrow gauge Blythburgh Station - model railway show - railway films - light refreshments - guided tours - railway bookstall - demonstration trains - displays - access to railway trackbed walks. VERY SHORT passenger train rides (small charge made for this experience) in our new coach, on part of the original Halesworth to Southwold line - this is the first year since 1929 that there has been a passenger train here! Halesworth Airfield was mainly used as an American base. Both the 56th Fighter Group and the 489th Bomb Group stayed here.
