Sir Alfred Munnings: Son of a Miller to President of the Royal Academy

Presented by Jenny Hand, Director, Munnings Art Museum, Dedham, Essex, who gives an overview of the life and work of the artist Sir Alfred Munnings (1878-1959), Past President of the Royal Academy of Arts (1944-1949). She describes his early training and experience in and around East Anglia, especially in the city of Norwich. Plus an overview of Munnings' most high-profile period of his career which brought him wealth and fame, but also criticism, and cost him his artistic freedom.
Ticket Details: U3A members free. Visitors and guests welcome, £4.
