D-Day 80th Anniversary Commemoration Picnic at Huntingfield Millennium Green

An event open to all at Huntingfield Millennium Green in remembrance of the WWII D-Day landings. An informal gathering, with refreshments, lollies and even Spam Fritters available. You are invited to come and gather with your picnic and family and friends. 1940s music. ‘Dash Astro’ Astronomical Society will be joining us to give a presentation on the Solar System at 11am prompt. Several Solar Scopes will be available to observe the Sun’s hot spots and solar flares. Suitable for all ages. Come and join in the fun.

Open Gardens, at Wissett near Halesworth

A fundraising event for the local Peartree Fund. There are two spectacular gardens open this afternoon, at WISSETT GRANGE and WISSETT HOUSE, both in The Street, Wissett. Raffle. Music, plus delicious cakes and tea, together with varied stalls to add interest to your afternoon.

An Afternoon with Charlie Mackesy

Taking place Saturday evening, 8th June, and also this afternoon. Presented by Bramfield Village Hall, with proceeds from this event going to Bramfield Village Green, a charitable initiative close to Charlie’s heart as a Suffolk local. Suitable for All. The celebrated creator of 'The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse' will be regaling audience members with stories of his career and delighting fans with new drawings live on stage. Running time: 1 hour 30 minutes, including 20 minute interval.

Battle of Sole Bay Dinner
