Cinema @ The Cut - EATEN BY LIONS (12A)

on Wednesday, 4th September 2019
Venue: The Cut Arts Centre, Halesworth IP19 8BY link
Director Jason Wingard, 2018, UK, 99 mins, with Jack Carroll, Antonio Aakeel, Asim Chaudhry, Johnny Vegas.
An 'unexpected treat: a really happy multicultural comedy'. No one, you will be relieved to learn, is actually eaten by a lion except, that is, Omar's mum and dad some time before the narrative begins. This makes orphans of teenager Omar and his half-brother Pete who, after the death of their gran, set out on a quest of discovery to the bright lights of Blackpool. It's a very funny take on the hazards besetting two endearingly naive boys let loose in the big wide world.
Ticket Details: Standard Ticket £6.00, Cinema Members £4.00
